Genus - Campanula
Campanula is also called bellflower. There are over 500 species in the genus and can be annual, biennial, or perennial. The name was inspired by the shape of the flower and is derived from the latin word campana, meaning bell.
Campanula's need to be moist but well drained. Deadheading of spent flowers can extend bloom periods quite considerably. Most bellflower are very deer resistant. Snails & slugs can be a problem but are easily overcome with snail and slug baits or almost any plant insecticide.
